02Will meetings be in person?+
Yes. All meetings and core readings will be in person.
03Do I need prior knowledge or experience?+
No. In fact, this fellowship is likely most useful for those with limited experience in the field. A quick Google search about what AI safety is could be useful for determining your interest before applying.
04Do I need any coding or technical background?+
No. A coding or technical background may be helpful for understanding certain parts of the content, but it is not required. People from all majors are encouraged to apply.
05Is the fellowship open to both graduate and undergraduate students?+
Yes. Applicants from all backgrounds will be considered.
06What will the curriculum of the course be?+
Our curriculum is based on MIT AI Alignment’s curriculum.

We will provide ways to get involved in the broader community and host weekly readings for alumni of the fellowship.
09What happens if I have to miss a session?+
Let your facilitator know in advance and we will try to put you into a different group. Missing more than two sessions makes it hard to follow the curriculum, and we recommend staying in the same cohort, so please only apply if you can fully commit.
